WAYS FOR PEACE IN EUROPE (A ROUND-TABLE)

As of now, there are several ongoing military conflicts and tensions in Europe that continue to impact the region.

Ukraine-Russia Conflict: the war between Ukraine and Russia, particularly in Eastern Ukraine and Crimea, remains unresolved despite efforts to negotiate a peaceful resolution. The situation continues to be volatile, with occasional outbreaks of violence and ceasefire violations.Before was the conflict in Eastern Ukraine: the conflict in Eastern Ukraine, known as the Donbas War, continues between Ukrainian forces and pro-Russian separatists. Despite ceasefire agreements, sporadic fighting and casualties persist in the region.

Nagorno-Karabakh Conflict: The Nagorno-Karabakh region, disputed between Armenia and Azerbaijan, saw a major escalation in hostilities in 2020. A ceasefire was brokered by Russia, but the situation remains fragile, with ongoing tensions and occasional skirmishes. Tensions in Belarus: Political tensions in Belarus have led to unrest and protests against the government of President Alexander Lukashenko. The situation remains fluid, with ongoing human rights concerns and international condemnation.
